I don't hold my breath, I'm disappointed by rumours of new MacMini's the last few times and I sold my G4, 1.5 in Januari, it's August now... It's about time, the Powerbook get's his normal use again... Crying or Very sad

My predictions are for a new iMac, "ThinBook" and iLife. I also think there is chance that the MacBook and Mac mini will see bumps. Both could go to SR and X3100 without much hoopla.

Probably not without the Mac mini or another headless replacement in the lineup. It's even possible that Apple will back to being $1000+ AIO company with their consumer level desktops. Evil or Very Mad

I visited a friend who works for a local retailer here in New Zealand today. He told me that they have new ipods in the store-room - 100gb and 40gb with touch screen. No new Mac there though Sad

Make the Mac mini 1.8GHz SR C2D and 2.0GHz and 2.2GHz SR C2D MacBooks.

If it's got a touch screen, that warrants enough change to be a 6th gen.

I for one, doubt the story though. Apple doesn't ever ship out unannounced items to independent retailers before they come from Steve's mouth. Even Apple's corporate stores don't receive products until evening before announcements.

But then again, I'd love to be proved wrong Smile

Of course, what is an Apple media event without the "hoopla'? Smile

Hold your horses ClunkClunk, we might have put two pieces of the puzzle together here...

And this is on the Apple invite for 7th Aug according to MacMinute.com:
"1,000 songs in your pocket changed everything," the invitation reads, alluding to the release of the first 5GB iPod nearly four years ago. "Here we go again."

"Hmmmmm" says JohnnyBoy, scratching his chin...

...and just to deepen my humiliation even more, the right article confirms ClunkClunk's opinion:

"The company has explicitly said that there will be no iPhone or iPod news."

I'll just go away and hide for a while...
