|

| I have a 1st gen mini w/out a wireless card or bluetooth. Until now I have had no need for a wireless setup, but I just received an AppleTV as a gift and was wondering if I could connect to it by buying an airport extreme base station. Would it work if I connected my computer to the AEBS via ethernet cable and the AEBS to my DSL modem? (modem-->AEBS-->computer) Or, do I have to have some sort of wireless option built in to my computer. Thanks for any help as i'm not very familiar with wireless set-ups. |

Yes, that will work. The Airport Extreme can handle both wired (like your mini) and wireless (like your Apple TV) just the same, and have both talking to each other with no problems.
Just be sure to get an Airport Extreme, not an Airport Express. The Express does not have ports for wired connected computers. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

| Awesome! Thanks, that's the answer I was hoping to hear. I have found similar answers on other searches, but nothing that specifically answered my question, so thanks again. |
