625 SEK, about 80 $
So all of a sudden the middle model was just 375 SEK (47 $) more expensive than the 1,25 GHz

No, I don't think it is.

Take a look at the "Hardware Support" section.
I hope Apple got the dim-video problem fixed... |
Actually, it is Core Image capable. According to ATI. _________________ Annoy a Liberal: Work hard, succeed, be happy. |

iBook is good. Apple updated their list. The Mac mini is the only Apple computer that doesn't support Core Image.
Core Image-capable graphics cards include:
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
ATI Radeon 9550, 9650, 9600, 9600 XT, 9800 XT, X800 XT
nVidia GeForce FX Go 5200
nVidia GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL, 6800 GT DDL

I was wondering about the same thing. What exactly does Core Image do? |

Ummmmm.... Did either of you consider actually clicking on the link that Yoshihide K provided?? The one that says "macosx/features/coreimage" right in the URL. _________________ Annoy a Liberal: Work hard, succeed, be happy. |

Yeah, actually I did read that. I'm just not sure if I understood it correctly so I was hoping soneone would explain it in a more simple way. |

Core Image makes the CPU do less work and the GPU do more work.
i.e. makes things run zoom zoom! _________________ Computer Engineer

I can't classify that as an update, in my book. Like two BTO options were just added as standard. Big deal? They needed a speed bump, at least.
The iBook updates on the other hand were much nicer. Much more updates, and the iBook value has gone up very much! I agree in that the iBooks are gonna fly off the shelves for back-to-school kids, like me. I have decided to purchase an iBook 12" as well.
But for the Mac Mini, Apple tried, but just missed the bar. _________________ 12" iBook 1.33GHz G4 1.5GB RAM 40GB HD + iSight

I'm not even sure they tried. I think they're saving up for the Intel systems. |

I suspect that the reason for the lack of a video upgrade is 3-fold:
1. They don't want to retool for a new motherboard before the Intel upgrade.
2. The heat problems. They've already cut the video out levels.
3. Market segmentation. If you want full Core Graphics support you need to upgrade to an eMac or iMac. |
Agree 100%. Hope they can fix the heat issues before the Intel systems start to ship. Apple, please don't ship them with integrated Intel graphics! | From your mouth to Jobs' ear... but, alas, they did. |
