I had a problem launching iTunes 7.3 also. As it turned out, it was having a conflict with Shapeshifter. So I disabled Shapeshifter and quit any running apps. I clicked on iTunes with nothing else going on and it worked. After I clicked the agree to the TOS or whatever it is called, I enabled Shapeshifter and it all works fine for me. _________________

I finally got mine after reading the post above me. I "excluded" itunes from my shapeshifter app and then it worked _________________ I am a freelance dvd author, and graphic designer. contact me if you need work done.

I would try trashing the com.apple.iTunes.plist, com.apple.iTunesHelper.plist, and com.apple.iTunes.eq.plist files in your ~/Library/Preferences folder. |
Hi devo... Thanks for the suggestion. I trashed the files you listed above in your reply but still no luck. Gonna have to wait for the fix from Apple... 7.3.1 |

I'm sorry to hear that. What about checking for problematic startup items or apps running? SOCOMRAIDER brings up a good point about Shapeshifter.

I guess I missed that reply earlier in the thread about Shapeshifter possibly being a problem. Sure enough I temporarily disabled it and iTunes finally launched...!!! Thanks for all the help guys...!!!
Now I hope it won't take long for my iPhone ot show up. I was really surprised to see 2-4 weeks for shipping from the Apple Store online. I should've just went to a retail AT&T store...!!!

The Apple stores should have iPhones available. Apple's iPhone Availability page shows green dots at every Apple store. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I should've just bought mine at a local Apple store or AT&T store instead of ordering online. If I would've know shipping would be 2-4 weeks I would've never bought it online. I hate waiting for really cool stuff like the iPhone...!!! |

It's good to hear that you got it working. I know Shapeshifter can cause trouble after a lot of updates, but you'll have to thank SOCOMRAIDER for bringing it up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it ship way before that. I think Apple is just trying to be cautious. |

I hope you're right.... It's been quite a while since I had a new tech toy to play with. I hope it ships this coming week. |
