I've always wanted to go, but never have. In the past, Macs were 'just computers' to me, of course the best ones, that is. I've starting to get totally into Macs and have fun with them doing more than just 'computer stuff'. And the best part is, I'm 45 minutes away, so I've got no reason not to go. Hopefully '08 will be a more exciting year than '07 has been so far. Hope to see some of you there!!!

| I would love to go, but it's too far away for me. That would be a long walk... |

I'd love to, but can't because of work, family and distance.
How long have you been over there in Iraq iMav? It seems like a long time. |

Right around 8 months so far (got here the later part of Oct '06).
That beats my former record of 7 months in this region (Air Force during the first Gulf War). _________________ -=iMav=-

Wow, that is a long time! When do you think your tour will end? |

San Jose and Santa Barbara. I'll trade you with New York.
I'm so tired of the winters here. |

It's just for school, so only temporary. My girlfriend is graduating from UCSB, and I'll be attending SJSU in the fall. After that, who knows? She's pushing us to move to the pacific northwest, but that's a bit away from our families. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I'm guessing it could be as soon as the end of this year or as late as spring 2008. (my employment is "at will", so it is really up to me) _________________ -=iMav=-

| I'd love to go but can't because I live in England and it would cost a small fortune, Enough to buy a new Mac so that would be what I'd spend it on. |

| I'd be afraid to go as I live on the east coast and I swore that the next trip I took to the west coast would be my last as I love California. |

So that settles it, I'm definitely going. Just because theres so many who can't because of distance. Heck, I just walk out of my house two blocks to Fremont BART, take a train for 50 minutes and get dropped off two blocks away from Moscone.
Those going from San Jose - we should meet up at Fremont BART, unless you dare to drive that is! |

Driving isn't TOO bad. Parking is relatively cheap at a few garages near Moscone. However, the only reason I drove the last few times is that I was coming in from Davis, where my parents live. This year I'll take BART. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I said no. The cheapest tickets are $300. Even if I lived next store I wouldn't go. I used to go to trade shows for free when I sold computer products. With all the coverage after the event I see no need unless it is for social networking purposes.
The only way I'd go is if someone covered the cost and if the time spent didn't have to come out of my holiday time. |
