- ZFS as the default filesystem for Leopard. (thanks for the leak Sun!)
- Final ship date for Leopard announced and pre-orders accepted.
- New displays announced with built-in iSights.
- Mac mini announced to be alive and well (i.e. not discontinued as some have predicted). _________________ -=iMav=-

| I agree with most of iMav's predictions. Most of the event will focus on Leopard. I also think that iLife '07 and iWork '07 will be announced and then start shipping in like 2-3 weeks. There could also be that 10"-12" MacBook Pro, miniBook, thinBook or whatever they might call it. |

I think the new iLife and iWork apps will be called iLife Leopard or something. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

That's possible. They could also just drop the year off the title. |

That would make me happy! .Mac isn't very compelling in its current state. |

Unless Apple is going to make some changes to ZFS it is very unlikely it will become the standard file system, as Sun has said. It is not what-so-ever ready for consumers, deleting files doesn't always save hard-disk space (can actually sometimes decrease it), and uses a hell of a lot more CPU usage than HFS+.
I do think there are a lot of good suprises for us at WWDC 07. New displays is definetly a good possibility, and unlike many others I do not think the Mini will be discontinued. I also beleive there will be many new features revealed about the iPhone and Mac OS Leopard. _________________ 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac Mini

| I agree with you mastershake, I also don't think the mini will be discontinued. The reason why I don't think that it will is simply because it's selling well and meeting Apple's expectations by hooking Windows users which is always a good thing for Apple, so it'd be stupid for them to discontinue it. |

| i would like to see a feature in leopard that allows you to resize app windows to smaller sizes making it possible to have micro sized windows of your apps that contain everything (sort of like when you hit F9) but the resolution would be better and usable. I would also like to see a Mac Minipro which will be an affordable headless mac that we can add a killer videocard too. |

I predict that people are going to be disappointed with the lack of announcements when it comes to new gear. WWDC has never been the hotbed of new hardware like Macworld. I think we could just be looking at Cinemas and a few hardware bumps. I'm mostly interested in seeing Leopard in its full glory. Man, it almost seems like WWDC 2006 all over again. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Agreed. WWDC has historically never been huge, but there's been a few surprises.
And like any kind of Apple rumor mongering, most people end up disappointed because they set their expectations way too high. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

Way too high. I really don't think we'll see anything new in the way of Macs or iPods. If there is, it will be like one or two things at the most.

If for any other reason, I think .Mac will be on the plate at WWDC because of the iPhone. There's also some buzz about a possible deal or partnership with Google. But who knows if that is true or not. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

How about both? New features for the pay service, but also basic .Mac email now for free. _________________ -=iMav=-
