I may be wrong. Perhaps there is a new Mini on the way.

As I've said many times before, don't expect a change to the main board of the mini any time soon. Sure, they may bundle more RAM or a bigger hard drive (or perhaps even make the DVD burning a standard option)...but all that can be done by you after-the-fact..

Does not changing the mainboard mean that the GPU stays the same?

And then there's this article

http://www.thinksecret.com/news/0507ibook2.html

I think I called the $699.00 deal in another post:)

If we remember that rumor about the European thing...11/07/05 with the day and the month reversed...perhaps we just have a couple days to go. It's all speculation of course. My thoughts are that Apple will release a high-end mini. Look at their pricing structure for the minis...$499, $599..the next least expensive Mac is the eMac at $799. A Mac Mini at $699 doesn't seem unreasonable. Maybe it will come in iPod mini colors too.

CAN'T WAIT!!!

Correct.

(now, just remember that I have absolutely ZERO inside info...I'm simply speaking from my gut)

I don't know, maybe they'll change the GPU but still use a 32mb cause' it's a small card and fits nicely. Maybe they'll use a 32mb card that supports CoreImage, if there's such a thing, the 9200 doesn't support it though.

Considering the iBook also has a Radeon 9200, I wouldn't be suprised if the graphics were updated. It would make sense that they'd totally eliminate the Radeon Mobility 9200 from the lineup; it doesn't make sense to keep the chip around in one product and upgrade the one in the other, because they'll get smaller discounts on the product that still uses the 9200. If they're going to upgrade the 9200, they'll upgrade all of their products that have it.

I think that a GPU and RAM upgrade wouldn't be that hard to believe. I doubt it'd be more than that, though.
