I may be wrong. Perhaps there is a new Mini on the way.

Well, that does it... it's going back to Best Buy tomorrow. I'll be Mac less (but hopefully for only the early part of next week). I just don't want to miss out on a *possible* video card upgrade or memory or Superdrive (wishful thinking).

You have 14 days after purchase to return it to BestBuy.

I'm afraid, any part.
I still believe that mac mini sales are proportionally high.
I really, don't know.
I am a bit depressed...

the mini is their third best selling product...first is the iPod, then iPod mini, then mac mini, i HIGHLY doubt they'd drop it, best buy sales are bad (OBVIOUSLY), who buys apple computers from best buy? they people there don't even have enough teeth to speak.

That article is from May. Apple just reported a record quarter in computer sales. My guess is the Mac mini played a not so mini part in contributing to the higher sales.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think the new iBook models just got posted on the Apple store? At least is says "New Models" and the ship times are back to same day. I'm just not that familiar with the iBook, so I cannot say for sure. At any case if they are "new" they did not change much.

if this forum is any indication of the general population, i would say the mac mini is doing alright

we get new people here by the day that are stoked on their new mini...at least 2-3 per day

i love my mini, and im sure everyone else feels the same....to go and trade it back in for anticipation of a new model is stupid or to hold out on buying one just for a rumor

last time i checked, the mac mini ran everything i wanted it to run and more....a graphics card update wouldnt do me any good being that i detest computer games...and a new G5 processer would be nice, but the price would surely raise from 499 or 599 (plus the cost of a monitor/key/mous)...something i dont want to deal with or i wouldve bought an imac for 1300

i think the mac mini is a great computer for 95% of the general population
