So I'm having issues with changing channels - I get a terminal spinning wheel. I see lots of posts on the joost forums to this effect.

Are others having any problems?

ClunkClunk in a PM said he has no problems. I have only 1GB ram, but have plenty free while Joost is running.

OK after 1 hr testing I have to say this is exciting. Like Shane pointed out the content looks like it will get a bit stale but the UI and stability (only 1hr but really mucked around with it) is great.

Works ok on my wireless 'g' network if you are a patient person but I am sure the 'n' network will be perfect, just waiting for Leopard and a new mini with core 2 duo and 'n' built in Laughing

With the constant advancment in broadband and codecs one can only hope that cable subscriptions and hard wire phones will be a thing of the past and everyone will just be paying for $100p/m for internet to cover all their phone and tv access

Would love to see a menu in FrontRow for this, and eyeTV..... that would be HTPC nirvana!!!

Check into RemoteBuddy. I've used the demo and can jump between the 3 nicely, plus some other.

The Joost interface is awesome. I just have a problem with video playback. It's very choppy and erratic. I have decent speed DSL connection (3MB down) too.

Yeah I used to use remotebuddy but found it would freeze up way to often. I have not follow the development of it for about 9mths or so, how is it now? Do you have instances when it would freeze?

Not recently. I will say its not without its bugs. I've had it where the remote stops working until i restart. RB says its an unrelated problem and an issue with my system. I don't use it now... but had a decent experience with it.

Its only a beta at the end of the day so it can only get better imo. There is some 16:9 ratio content if you look hard enough. Providing copyrights permit, I can some real good content becoming available.
