Where are the iLife Apps?

I want to re-install GarageBand 2 on my mini from the Mac mini Tiger install disk 1 DVD. I used Pacifist to locate all the package files but found the GarageBand package folder (as well as the other iLife packages) empty. Strange. Where do I find it? I don't want to reinstall everything!

Isn't it in your OS X Install Disc? When you install, there's a "Customize" button, where you can choose to install just GB 2.

yes it is. I was looking at the DVD with another Mac that did not allow me to install Tiger (or any of the other stuff on it). Thanks for the tip though. All is well.

Found out however that all the iLife apps are on disc 2 (the OS 9 installer disc). You have to use TinkerTool or some other app to allow you to see hidden files and folders first. There is a folder full of package files (*.PKG). Now it is easy to re-install the apps whenever you want to.

For Panther, it seems it's on the OS X Install Disc. That's interesting...

Yes this is on the Tiger version. It comes with two dics, the first having all the Tiger system files and the second having OS 9 and hidden iLife apps. There appear to be links to the iLife apps on the first disc but you will find the folders empty on that disc. All the real package and metapackage files are in a hidden folder on the second disc.

On the brighter side, iLife '05 was preinstalled for me and on the OS X disc Razz
