| I have been using it ever since it came out to print my invoices for my computer company, it works great. I'm still on patch 8, but will be upgrading soon. About the only complaint I have is how slow it is to start up, but being Java based that is to be expected. After it starts though, it is fast as ever. |

I've dabbled a little with it for some lightweight stuff. Not enough to
really get a feel for it yet.
I didn't know about the release... now I'll have to update. Thanks! |

I used it religiously for a while. When I bought Tiger, I also ended up buying MS Office for the wife and family...so I installed that instead when I put Tiger on. I may download the latest release and run them side-by-side for a while. _________________ -=iMav=-

I installed NeoOffice/J as soon as I bought my Mini. It has worked just fine for me thus far. I used OpenOffice exclusvely on my PC for over a year with no problems. If NeoOffice/J turns out to be as good as OpenOffice I'll have no need to send my hard earned $$ to M$. By the way, I have already used NeoOffice for creating/editing work documents including PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets and Word docs. No compatibility issues or problems to speak of other than NeoOffice is a little slow to start up. But once its up and running, its great. _________________ 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

I downloaded NeoOffice/J this morning. I was going to download it last night but my DSL is on the fritz. NeoOffice/J is definitely slow to launch but once you're up and running the speed is acceptable. I saved a few files and it seems pretty stable. Not bad for free! |

| I use this program and have one problem When I download an Excel spreadsheet it opens and shows the placeholder for a chartand the legend but NOT thechart itself. Looked in preferences and it should not be a problem. Any ideas? |

I don't like it - I've been giving NeoOffice a tryout for the last two weeks, and it's obviously a port - and a bad one at that. It runs slow on my system, which is unusual, since I have my system pretty muscled up. I also had issues with opening excel spreadsheets. I'll stick with Office - it was made for the Mac from the ground up - that's the kind of software I like to run on my Macs. _________________ The Seduction of the Extraordinary at the Expense of the Mundane..

Is it a full download (100+ Megs)? It took me four days to download last time, so updating isn't a minor thing... (no DSL here). |
