I used to have it on the left because it kept popping up when working on long windows. It's back on the bottom because the Teleport mouse has to move to the computers on the right and the left. Hidden, smaller than default, no mag, no gimmicks. With the bigger screens, having it on the bottom is no longer a problem. _________________ Mac+, SE30, Classic, 4400 (metal), 603, LC475, iMac bondi (3), iBk orange. I used to have the dock on the bottom of the screen. But, when I bought the MacBook, I found that the screen had far more width than height, so I put the dock on the left.
I bought a 1600x1200 display for the Mini rather than a 1680x1050, because I wanted the maximum height. Then it occurred to me that if height is so important to me, I should try to maximise it by moving the dock to the left of my Mini's screen, just like I had on the MacBook. Having given it a go, I like it - so it's staying there! _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

Desktop mini - Left, autohide, scale, and at about 1/3rd.
However on the HTmini, it's on the bottom and hiding. I leave it there on that mini so that people can use it without having to find it.

I usually keep it on the bottom, autohide, and magnified.
I use magnification cause I have a bunch of stuff on it, and I think it looks nice too. ...I think the main reason is cause it intimidates PC users when they use my Mac.
Auto hide, just so the company logo/copyright info isn't hidden. |

As of the 6th day of my Mac it's on bottom, smaller then default, big time magnify, not auto hide.
My suspicions however is that it will be minimal magnify and auto hide once the novelty wears off on me. _________________ My cat themed collection:

On my Mini & Macbook, docks on the right with magnification on, & auto hide. I find that I don't tend to run into it on the right. _________________
