Ipod ressurection for any one that has had this issue read

ok for any one who has a mac and has had the infamous my ipod no longer appears in my desktop here is the fix

connect your ipod go into disk utility format the ipod completely this will blow everything off the ipod including operating system once formatted leave alone do not disconnect ipod or your ipod will be dead and i do mean dead then run the ipod updater in itunes this will install the latest firmware and upgrade the ipod and fix the ipod error
