|
|
I have a mac mini and am trying to get it formatted to my mitsubishi big screen hdtv. So far I have been able to get it to display on the dvi input only but the top of the screen is chopped off so the top bar doesnt show. I am on the panther version because sbcyahoo doesn't support tiger at this time. Downloaded displayconfigx, but still can not change screen format to fit tv. Have also tried vga to component but get blank screen after start up. does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Andy |

I have my mini via vga on my panny plasma. DVI is slightly better (it's an EDTV) but I only have one DVI and that's for HD Tivo.
W/ VGA, the problem is probably the sync freq. Check your TV manual and see what it supports. On my plasma, it can be adjusted. You'll need to find a matching setting on the Mini.
I had to change the frequency (higher) to match both the display and Mini. |

| It's kind of a pain, but what I had to do was to install VNCOsx and connect via VNC, then, with the TV connected you can change through all the video modes and see what works best. |

Displays preferences and click Options, then select Overscan. Overscan will only show up if your TV supports it. |
