What do you, mean one or two playlists? You can't switch between playlists with the 2nd gen. iPod shuffle, can you? |
No no. I just drag the playlist to the shuffle. You can't select the playlist from the shuffle itself. The songs in the playlists are in the order that you manually added them to the shuffle. |

Oh ok, I thought I was missing something when using mine. After all, I'm the kind of user who (almost) never reads the instructions manual. |

I'm heading down to one of the Apple Stores tomorrow and buying my wife a pink one Valentine's Day. I didn't see it mentioned in one of the previous posts, but I read the shuffles now come with the updated earbuds. I guess that's a good thing too. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

Good point... didn't think of that.
But my opinion still stands...I'd like a black shuffle please! |

Didn't you hear? Orange is the new black.
I really like the new colors, but black would have been a nice addition. I bet it would even look smaller in black. |

If they made a black model, I wonder if they would do like with the nano and also have black plastic on it. That would mean a separate plastic batch of parts for a single color of iPod shuffle. They've done it with the nano, however I don't know if the margins for the shuffle would even allow it.
Also, a 2GB model would be nice, though it's kind of useless with the new shuffle, not having a built-in USB connector.
So, we now have iPod nano is colors, iPod shuffle in colors... Bring on the new touch-screen widescreen iPod with wi-fi, safari, Google Maps, email, calendar, etc. |

Not sure I'm following your point about the USB connector. I recently bought one of the IncipioBud USB adapters for mine. So there is a solution if you don't want to carry the little dock with a cable around.

Nice, I didn't know such an adapter existed. Thanks for the info! |

Yeah, nice info. It just seems silly to have to carry around a dock if you want to charge the thing I've never seen anything like that before, but it makes sense to make one.

Which was my original point: the first iPod shuffle had a built-in USB connector. A 2GB 1st gen. iPod shuffle would have made sense, but a 2GB 2nd gen. iPod shuffle is pointless. That adaptor is nice, but it's almost the same size as the iPod shuffle itself, is not bundled with the iPod shuffle, and it's a second part you have to carry around.
I'm hoping Apple will put the built-in USB connector back into the 3rd gen. iPod shuffle, if they ever make one. |
