CDW offers it for a few dollars more but shipping, at least for me made it a little cheaper overall (CDW shipping was $5.25 as opposed to $9.40 for PCMall). I use them through work so I can get an extra $0.15 off
They state shipping time is 1 to 2 weeks and with with my past experience it means it may be shipping from Belkin, so if Belkin has them the ship time may be less. |

I just talked to my account rep at CDW and was told they would be in stock the first week of August. He also gave me a killer deal that makes it cheaper than their regular price after shipping and tax!
As for CDW I have ordered many items from them at my job and I am impressed with the way they do business The also have a Mac Warehouse section where they sell all of Apples line.
I just may see what my discounted price will be for a G5 when they are switched to intel. |

Looks like this thing draws it's power from the Mini. Seen any issues when you hang a bunch of peripherals on it?

I thought these were powered hubs.
The picture of the back has an AC jack on the right. Maybe you have to buy one separate???? BYOP (Bring Your Own Power)

A lot of times these hubs can be powered separately, but are designed so that they can operate power-draw peripherals without them. At least, the nicer ones are, which Belkin seems to make. _________________ Computer Engineer

That's a relief. As long as it has a jack. My compact flash reader draws enough juice to swamp the hub on my apple keyboard. Belkin hub on order. Can't wait. |

Can't wait. | The USB 2.0 only model has a power supply connection, the Firewire/USB hub does not, is not needed because it is pulling power from Firewire (which supplies more power than USB). Firewire can provide up to 45 Watts at up to 40 Volts, the mini's port is 12volts and up to 8 watts. USB on the other hand supplies 5 volts and a max of 0.5 amps or 2.5 watts.
If you did order Firewire and USB model you will be all right and have one less thing to plug in.
