That movie made me depressed throughout the whole damn movie. And it was long. Me and my girlfriend sat there and after like an hour went by even she was like jesus if his life doesn't get better by the end this is the shittiest movie of the year. So if you're into dramatic movies about depressing life with no comedy or triumphs, til the end of course then it's your movie. 4/10
Invincinle - Awesome..he's come a long way since Marky Mark adn the funky bunch. 9/10
Bear League - Funniest fuckin movie. I never heard of it til it was already out on dvd and a friend was like dude u have to see it. great flick. 10/10 |
kbulava: Not for nothing but, I may have enjoyed it a bit more than you because my life parallels his very closely. I had my wife walk out on me and my son, lost my car, lost my house, and ended up getting a smoking job while destitute. I am not knocking your review, to each his own.
Invincible - AGREED
Beer League - AGREED

| I have to agree with Futa_Mill and recommend Luck Number Slevin, One of the best films I've seen in a long time. Also check out Inside Man with Denzel Washington, great film. In fact anything with him in is usually a great movie. |

What I meant by "1 timer" is that i would only want to see the movie once not another time. _________________

Got Ya'. Though I like to watch movies like that more than once just incase there is some hidden stuff that goes unnoticed.
You might want to check out these movies (If you haven't allready) which are of a similar style. Lock stock and Two Smoking Barrels , Snatch and Revolver. |

tv: three colors trilogy (trois couleurs: bleu, rogue and bialy)
breath taking. especially the first installment which features a beautiful score and soundtrack with simple, clean and striking cinematography http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108394
cinema: marie antoinette
an extremely dull and under developed attempt at indie cinema (by a director whom i respect) www.imdb.com/title/tt0422720 _________________ 20" iMac 1.8/160/1G

Seen Babel over the weekend. It was a good movie, but I liked Children of Men better. My girlfriend liked the movie also, but she hates the middle eastern terrorist thing, so she didn't like it as much as she could have. There were definitely some interesting shots in the movie, you'll see if you go. (Crazy Japanese ) _________________

My wife wants to go see it now that it has won some awards. I'm really not a big fan of Brad Pitt. Seven was like the coolest though. |

He is only a tiny fraction of the total movie. I never cared for Cate Blanchett, but she isn't in the movie for very long either. _________________

I was able to catch Children of Men and Pan's Labyrinth...finally.
CoM had really beautiful cinematography. I didn't care too much for the story, it wasn't as strong as I thought it was going to be, but it is definitely a must see for the great camera work.
Pan's was just amazing and refreshing, the story was beautifully told and visually imaginative. Soundtrack was really good as well, I might have to buy it now. This goes in my top list for 2006. I also caught the new 300 trailer...looks to be really good, I hope it doesn't disappoint! |

Saw Pan's Labyrinth last night, was blown away. The whole look of the movie was awesome. Very dark but breathtaking. Soundtrack, as khisayruou said, was wonderful, very moving, you can sample the entire soundtrack on the Pan's Labyrinth website. I will be purchasing it from iTunes. What a great movie. I've also seen The Painted Veil,( another beautiful film,) Notes on a Scandal and The Queen. All are worth seeing. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

| I watched The Illusionist last night. It was pretty good flick. I also rented World Trade Center. As a New Yorker, I was scared to watch it. Thinking about 9-11 always leaves a lump in my throat. I must tell you, it was VERY inspiring! I don't feel like it exploited 9-11 at all. This is a movie you need to watch. |

I'm with Devo on the Illusionist. I just saw it this past weekend on video. It has a good plot and is both entertaining and full of suspense. World Trade Center is on my list. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT
