Sorry if this might be a repeat topic, but what do you guys think Apple will announce next week Macworld?
My predictions:
iLife '07
Announce ship date for Tiger
Mac mini and Mac Pro Intel bumps
12" MacBook Pro
iTV
One more thing... 6G iPod
I also think Apple is going to completely refresh their website with a new look, but that really isn't a product. |

I agree with most but disagree on the 12" macbook pro. I think it might cut into the sales of the macbook cause i could see people spending a bit more money for a video card. _________________

Leopard. I am so used to typing Tiger.

That could coincide with the Mac mini and Mac Pro bumps. I would like to see them include built-in iSights as well as lower prices. |

I think there will be 3 software and 3 hardware announcements. I also think Apple will announce something with the Beatles.
Software
iLife '07
iWork '07 (includes a spreadsheet)
Leopard. (ships in March)
Hardware
8-Core Mac Pros
Cinema displays
iPhone
Beatles catalog in the iTMS and special edition 5G iPod. |

Leopard ship date and some new features
Updated Mac Mini
Updated Mac Pro, possibly with a Blu-Ray announcement
Slightly revamped iMac
New iSight
iLife 07
iWork 07
Firmware updates for the newly released Macs from the past few months, to turn on those dormant 802.11n chips inside.
Show that the iTV requires 802.11n wireless.
New 6G iPod
A new studio with movies on iTunes
More economic iPod Hi-Fi (either newer version or lower price point) _________________

I'm hoping for a 13" Powerbook! Or perhaps a lighter MacBook.
Otherwise I may end up buying an iMac.
My predictions/hopes:
-Slight bumps across all lines.
-Announce Leopard availability
-iTV
-Hoping for a new iPod |

I'm waiting for a C2D Mac mini with Leopard and a 23" or 24" ACD with a built-in iSight. I don't care about anything else. iPhone, iSchmone, that's what I say. I already have 3 iPods and all the accessories one could need. I don't have any interest in the iTV either. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

That's what I am exited for. Hopefully they make one with a built in iSight and lower prices, oh and bigger sizes! |

I think with the way they have squeezed the built-in units and improved the quality, they should be able to release an update to the separate component unit. Something much much smaller, better video quality and a better mic. All for the price of $99-129.
I don't see how a built-in iSight will lend any help to the lowering the price of the ACDs. I think it would be a waste for a built-in iSight. Most ACD users are Mac Mini or Mac Pro owners. But there are a few iMac owners who extend their desktop. That would just add a cost to the display when not everyone wants them. I think there can be an exception however.
Or at the very least bring in a smaller display and increase the variety. Thereby having a 17-inch, 20-inch, 23-inch, exotic 26-inch and the behemoth 30-incher. They could include the iSights on the 17 and 20 inchers, but it would be a little silly to go any larger. As more of the professionals use the bigger panels and usually don't have a need for iSights. _________________

It might not lead to lower prices, but it could help Apple justify the premium prices they ask for the Cinemas. Plus, they would be the first to do this. I don't think there is another stand-alone display on the market with a built-in webcam |

| Yeah your right if they keep the prices they have now, and put in a built in iSight and updated the displays, their prices would be about right. |

Yes it might justify the prices. But like I said, not everyone wants a built-in iSight in their monitor. And there is a bigger number of people who honestly don't care, because they won't use it or don't need it. Which is all the more reason it is a waste. It would be better served to just lower the prices and keep the iSight as a separate component. _________________
