OWC announced today that they have lowered pricing on their 1.0GB-4.0GB Memory Modules and Kits for Intel-based iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini models. The OWC 2.0GB Memory Kit (two 1.0GB modules) is now priced at $69. In addition, OWC's 1.0GB memory modules are priced at $35, 2.0GB memory modules at $99, 3.0GB Kits (1.0GB + 2.0GB modules) at $135, and 4.0GB Kits (two 2.0GB modules) at $195. According to the company, all OWC memory modules feature the highest quality components available on the market, including those from Micron and Samsung. They are fully backed by a 30-day money back guarantee and a lifetime advance replacement warranty.

The 4GB kit is cheaper than a kit from Newegg.com by at least $40. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

Not bad prices, but there are some G.Skill sets on Newegg that have them beat. The 4GB set actually beats them by $15. OWC is probably better to deal with if something goes wrong though. I don't think G.Skill has much based in this country. That being said, I've been running the 2GB set without any trouble. I wouldn't hesitate buying from them again.
2GB = $64.95

4GB = $179.95

I have a 1.66GHz Core Duo mini with 1 GB ram. How much of a performance gain will I see if I double the ram to 2 GB?

They have comparisons of their memory being used in the iMac and Mac mini.
Go here....

It basically includes every configuration from 1GB to 4GB. |
