|
|
Hey!
When I see videos on youtube or even sites that use flash a bit, my cpu get to 100% and stays there till it's the flash content is over. Happens in Camino or Safari.
So my fan gets noisy and the computer overall is sluggish.
This is on my Mac mini 1.5GHz G4 but I noticed the same on an iBook G4 but not on an Intel powered Mac.
I have 1GB on my machine and runnning the 10.4.10.
This sucks so much!! My machine should be more than enough to pull this with no probs at all! |

This happens to me on every single computer I have. I don't understand why flash videos are so damn CPU intensive, but they just are it seems. I have observed this on Mac, Linux, and Windows. _________________ Apple Certified Systems Administrator

Just tried playing some YouTube clips on my iMac (intel) and the CPU's only reached 18% and 25%. _________________ My current Apple Toys

I don't notice the slugginess on my PC though.
I guess it's something with PPC and flash. |

I don't notice sluggishness from it; however, on my Dell laptop with the fans at 100% the CPU temp jumps almost 20 C when I play youtube videos. _________________ Apple Certified Systems Administrator
