The savings might be applicable to CRTs, but not with LCDs. If you want to do something that really helps, switch out your incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents. Smile

The only incandescent in my room are in my ceiling fan and it rarely gets used, I would love to get an LCD TV (to save power of course Very Happy ). I also considered power management when comparing an iMac to a building my own, iMac won with a single cable that wouldn't require a new UPS versus a tower and monitor set that would (with the new iMacs though it's very close only down side is GPU).

I don't like Yahoo search, but they have that same feature on their homepage now. Newegg does the same thing with product searches.

Apple just added the same feature in iTunes. Smile

I switched to compact fluorescents some time back. I'm happy with them. The only place I don't use them is in the kitchen, since they don't dim in the hats I've got installed. I like the fact that they last a long time. I have a very high ceiling in my family room and changing the bulbs in the hats there is a chore.
