With the new Apple keyboards available now...one with a numpad and one without, I figured I query you all to see how you feel about the dedicated number pad.

I use the numeric pad when I use the calculator widget, but I could live without it. I'm in favor of the smaller wireless design.

It would be nice to see a separate bluetooth numpad made available. This would be a nice option for those with laptops as well.

I agree with Bandit Bill, the numeric pad is useful but you can live without it.

Didn't care til I had a job working retail. Now I prefer them, but some laptop keys have a 2ndary shift for numpad use without an actual numpad, so thats kinda cool

They are nice, but I think I could live without one. And that new bluetooth keyboard is pretty sweet Laughing

We don't need no stinkin' numpads! Wink

Honestly, I would rather have something like the new Apple wireless keyboard or the Logitech diNovo Edge.

I would always buy a keyboard with one than without, which was why I bought the wired version of the new keyboard. You can live without it as I often do on a laptop, but I would always prefer to have one whenever possible.

Waste of space. I rarely use mine.

I wish the wired version of the Apple keyboard had no numpad also.

I don't miss it when I'm on my MacBook Pro, but with a desktop keyboard I think I'd like to have it, as it's only a little extra space, and really useful when I do some number entry. It's not all that often, but enough that I'm sure I'd like to have it.
