Skype 2.7 Beta for Mac Released

Skype today released Skype 2.7 Beta for Mac, the latest version of the company's popular communication software. New features in this release include: contact groups; the ability to see your Apple Address Book contacts; an auto redial feature for busy or unconnected calls; the ability to create and manage public chats; easy sound-level controls; and an overhauled file transfer engine. The company also noted that, if the default language on your Mac is Czech or Norwegian, the Skype 2.7 Beta for Mac will automatically follow suit. The download (direct link) weighs in at 31.8MB.

| nice to see an upgrade (on the way) but skype keeps going down at the moment and has been doing this since yesterday. According to their blog, they are working on the problem. |
