Product placement is a beautiful thing.
I saw "The Island" Friday night, and tonight I saw "The Wedding Crashers," and in both movies, pretty much every computer on screen was an Apple. The wedding crashers was an excellent movie, I saw a powerbook on vince vaughn's desk near the beginning of the movie, placed at a perfect angle so you could recognize clearly the 'Apple' logo.
Also, in "The Island," being a pretty high-budget movie, there were TONS of other product placement. MSN, XBOX, Nokia, Motorola, Caddillac, Aquafina just to name a few that I could catch. It's pretty fun to spot current apple products in movies that are supposed to be set 14 years in the future.

It has something to do with the recording industry. I heard something about that years ago. You'll notice just about everyone on tv and the movies use Apple.
The Drew Carey show is a good example of a t.v. show, Sex in the City.
Another thing you'll notice is everyone uses a clicky tactile keyboard. |

Have you watched Entourage on HBO? There's been tons of Apple stuff on the show. Two recent episodes had scenes an the Apple Store. Every computer on the show is either a iMac or Powerbook.  |
