Apple has posted a video of the special event that took place at its headquarters today. "Watch Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveil the all-new, redesigned iMac and demo new features in iLife '08, iWork '08, and .Mac. See the video-on-demand event right here, exclusively in QuickTime and MPEG-4," notes the company. The video runs approximately an hour and twelve minutes in length.

I like to give their servers a couple of hours to calm down. I always seem to get a case of the stutters when watching them right away. _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

I didn't have any trouble watching the HQ stream. It streamed like butter! |

| The video worked really good for me, but why is it so small and pixilated? |

| As usual, I thought Steve Jobs did a good job with the presentation. He seemed very relaxed. |

He did seem pretty relaxed, but the crowd was lame. I assume it was just Apple employees. During other Keynotes you can really see that Steve feeds off of the crowds energy. This Keynote seemed more like a rehearsal. |

Very observative, it indeed looked like it was not an enthousiastic crowd, but this explains it! _________________ ___________________Jim©

The crowd was mostly journalists apparently.
They're intently focused on documenting/transcribing/photographing the event rather than actually digesting what has been said and thinking about the implications of it.
WWDC by comparison is a crowd of people who have a personal investment in the Mac platform and are always receptive to the impact of these revolutionary new ideas.
They did that to themselves though by only inviting media to the event. |

Journalists are supposed to be impartial. They aren't going to whoop it up like an everyday Mac user. I did hear a couple of laughs though. I mean, it wasn't all stiff. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)
