| Does the iPod hardrive spin while I have it charging? I think it does, so just in case that's the answer, does it spin at the normal destructive rate, or a much slower one? I ask these because I just re-configured my desk area and I decided to always have the iPod sitting on my iPod Alarm which constantly charges it. Thanks. |

From what I can tell on my 5G iPod, it doesn't spin after about 30 seconds of not playing, even if it's on a charger, but it's awfully hard to tell because I can barely hear it. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

Yeah, I'd expect something like that since, by default, Mac's go into sleep mode after 20 minutes of nothing. That's cool, now I don't have to worry about it dying on me and my desk still looking good :-p Thanks for the info. |
