| Does the iPod hardrive spin while I have it charging? I think it does, so just in case that's the answer, does it spin at the normal destructive rate, or a much slower one? I ask these because I just re-configured my desk area and I decided to always have the iPod sitting on my iPod Alarm which constantly charges it. Thanks. |

From what I can tell on my 5G iPod, it doesn't spin after about 30 seconds of not playing, even if it's on a charger, but it's awfully hard to tell because I can barely hear it.

Yeah, I'd expect something like that since, by default, Mac's go into sleep mode after 20 minutes of nothing. That's cool, now I don't have to worry about it dying on me and my desk still looking good :-p Thanks for the info. |
