Hi,
Has anyone had problems with using 5.1 powered speakers with macs and mac mini in particular. I only receive 3.1 sound when i plug in through the Headphone port I previously had an imac G3 and had the same problem. Anyone know of a solution or am i dumb?? |

With some speakers, like my mom's Logitechs, there is an option to upsample stereo audio to 4.1 or 5.1 audio. If you want true 5.1, follow Greg's advice. _________________ Computer Engineer

| Like Greg said you will need a 5.1 adaptor. Unfortunately the mini is only stereo. That was something that almost drove me to an iMac. |
