I would assume that most of you have seen the video of Bill and Steve together.
You can start here if you haven't. It's in seven parts and runs about an hour or so in length. Well worth watching.
I wouldn't want to cross either of them in the business world, but I wondered who you guys thought came off as being more likeable??? |

Bill Gates has cut off his kids from the outside world since they get death threats, as does he, but Steve Jobs walks around among people and actually touches them!!! _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

I wouldn't hold that against Bill. There are a lot of nuts out there.

I just watched the videos of Steve and Bill. It is very enjoyable to watch. I quite liked the mutual respect and the genuine liking that they seem to have for one another. It is a far cry from the M$/Apple bashing that people post all over the internet.
From that video I must say that I like Bill Gates much more than I did prior to watching the video. He seemed more personable than Steve. Steve seemed to remain more business focused and secretive almost like a politician. Steve is definately a better story teller.
I guess I have to say I like them both. |

Steve Jobs
Bill Gates seem to show off too much. Plus they're still copying other companies' ideas. Don't you think 'surface' is a bit like multi-touch?
If only Bill and Steve became partners... Then none of this would happen and everyone would get awesome computers. _________________ - MacBook Pro, 15inch, 2.4GHz, 2GB, 160GB HDD, SuperDrive. I Love this Mac!!!!

I have a better idea. Apple should really go head-to-head with Microsoft and allow OS X to run on non-Apple machines. |

Hmmm, but that would take away the whole point of making the machines reliable. I mean i like Apple the way it is and maybe one day it'll be even bigger than it is now, but still the two men had a chance at making it big and possibly becoming partners in the business but it didn't happen. Wow that was way back in the 80s weren't it? _________________ - MacBook Pro, 15inch, 2.4GHz, 2GB, 160GB HDD, SuperDrive. I Love this Mac!!!!

I just hope Microsoft keeps making Office for the Mac. That's good enough for me. I don't need any more of their chocolate in my peanut butter. |

I've been using Office 2004 for the Mac for a while now. I just feel more comfortable and flow well with it. I have nothing against the open source office solutions. If I didn't already own Office, I would probably be using NeoOffice. |

After watching the video and noting how Steve kept eluding to the continued growth in the device market, this may become a reality. On the other hand Apple can continue to support both Windows and OS X with it's devices.
I think with the tighter integration between the devices, OS X and Apple software, more people will want to move over to OS X if there is a substantial difference. We constantly hear comments that iTunes is nicer on OS X. I have no idea why it isn't equal.
p.s. I think both Bill and Steve are very humble for being so successful. |

Well if iWork comes with all the Apps we need then all mac users can switch to it, plus it'll be cheaper than Office and probably more reliable. _________________ - MacBook Pro, 15inch, 2.4GHz, 2GB, 160GB HDD, SuperDrive. I Love this Mac!!!!

I'm pretty sure that that video is now on iTunes it's 1:29:33 in all and almost a gig download so it'll take a while to download (1.5Mb/s DSL took almost 4 hours, hope my parents upgrade to 3.0Mb/s). _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."
