Well just because George W. Bush, The President of the United States doesn't know why the chicken crossed the road, does not imply that ALL Americans do not know why the chicken crossed the road.

I don't think that anyone besides the FBI really knows why said chicken crossed said road. I also don't think the government is at liberty to say why the chicken crossed the road. The truth is if they told us it would cause world wide panic. It is also a matter of national security. Do not fret though. I assure you that someday we will find out why the chicken crossed the road. It is a complicated political matter but someday they will find a way to disclose the information to the world.
But my guess is he/she just wanted to get to the other side.
