Hey I'm thinking about buying a mini with just 256mb of ram and then throwing in a Gb myself I was wondering if there is a big difference between pc2700 ram with 333mhz and pc3200 ram with 400mhz  |

You will not see any performance gain from buying the PC3200.
"Using PC3200 memory does not provide additional speed benefits. Although the Mac mini supports PC3200 DIMMs, the PC3200 RAM will operate at PC2700 (333 MHz) speeds. "

Why is there a poll that has nothing to do with the RAM question? Weird...
Anyways, buy a power book now because I don't think we'll see new models for at least 6 months, probably closer to 8-10.
As for the RAM, pretty much all RAM that runs at speeds above the maximum a computer can run at, as long as it's the same type, will work, it will just run at that maximum speed. Basically, any DDR RAM that runs at or faster than PC2700 speeds will work, though they will only operate at those PC2700 speeds (333MHz). _________________ Computer Engineer
