I used to work in the printing business, and a pica is a unit of measurement in printing (6 picas=1 inch, 12 points=1 pica). Some customers started calling me that, and it just stuck.
Pica is also an eating disorder where people reflexively eat inappropriate non-food things such as dirt, clay, or chalk.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_%28disorder%29
I'm not that kind of pica-man, though. No dirt casserole for me

Jamie, it's a great avatar, never realized it was a pair of rings, now I can see it and the nick makes sense to those old enough to remember pica, elite, etc......... (talking old school...). Didn't know about that type of eating disorder, but being the parent of a kid suffering from one, I know there are many kinds and they are misunderstood.
My username is my nickname for many years since my name is Bob and I picked up the avatar from my daughter, she has some stuff by Paul Frank, (who's retail outlets are all Mac, btw,) the main character is the monkey, Julius. I picked this one because he's called Skurvy and it fit... the skull and crossbones thing, but not too menacing. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

Because of the image or the album. I love Dark Side of the Moon BTW. Except when the alarm/chimes freak me out |
Best song on the album for me though.
err, bit of both. The whole prisim thing because of physics, which im studying. Also because the prisim reminds me of the album, which has really defined my rather eclectic taste in music. _________________ The Hunt Continues . . . |

The avatar of Robert E. Lee approximates my appearance. My favorite cigar is the Arturo Fuente Churchill D'Oro; hence, fuentecigar. _________________ Mac Book 2.1 Ghz (Penryn) 10.6.7 4Gb DDR2

jordz = short for jordan, which some ppl call me
84 = the year i was born
jordz + 84 = jordz84
very creative, as with a majority of the previous posts, this stuck after being forced to come up with a username on the spot.
however, i really dont like it and am im slowly replacing it with the much cooler username "shakey" ,, alias/nickname of neil young, and also title of one of his biographies

What does the company logo represent. (If you don't mind me asking) |
CybertronPC - Smaller than the big boys (HP, Dell, Equis, etc..) but larger than regular city/town system builders.
Edit:
Now, if you mean what the logo means, I have no clue. Just our logo. _________________ 2.0Ghz 2GB CD Leopard Macbook (RIP)

I really like the avatar James. I'd like to see it on a shirt or some other merchandise even though I use Safari. Do you have a link to where it came from? |

I'll second that!
I'm glad you guys were able to get sober. My uncle struggled with drinking for many years. Now he is paying for it in his older age.
I smoked cigarettes for years and hard time quiting. I went into the doctors for a checkup like five years ago or so, and he told me that my lungs look like crap. It scared me into straight into quitting cold turkey. I went in for a physical last summer and he told me they looked totally clear. But I'm still worried it did damage.
There is a lesson here for the youngsters. Don't drink or smoke! |

OffaBroadway - I once had a dream, and that dream was to play or star in a show on or off of Broadway. I love to sing and to act, but sadly, I have not found the time yet in my life to pursue these insterests as much as I would like. I picked it years ago trying to find an original name on Hotmail, and it just stuck.
As for the avatar, if anyone here is familliar with Invader Zim, the character in the picture is GiR, a robot with a mental deficiency that was given to Zim to help him conquer Earth. A lot of the time, my brain acts a lot like GiR. I thought it was fitting. _________________ ~ OffaBroadway~

I can't believe I missed this thread! I am always interested in the origins of the names and icons
MY username comes from my nickname that my wife started calling me Louie, Mac is from Macintosh (of course) and Goo stands for all the crap that goes along with being a Mac user and a family man.
MY avatar is of course Mr. MaGoo and it seemed very fitting for me since I have always felt like I was just kind of bumbling through thing and alway coming out without getting hurt! And it fit nicely with the name LouieMacGoo! _________________ 13' Macbook 2.0ghz C2D w/2gb RAM and 120gb HD
