we do it in years and i dont think they work out the same

for the same age, we would be in the grade above you, so when your 11 your in 6th grade, we're in year 7. I think.

we dont have a grade point system anything like yours, we just have an exam system. we have compulsory tests in year 2, 6, 9 and 11. Though the only ones that really count for anything are the year 11 ones, when we get GCSEs.

Basically we can go through our whole school life failing, we dont get held back years if we fail. Not untill college anyway.

I hope that makes some sense! it was suprisingly difficult to explain!

I'm currently in [UK] Year 10, which I'm not sure about the American equivalent... It's the year that spans from 14-15 years.
