Seven for me.
How do you remove a widget? I have a big poker game widget that is half the size of the screen and I don't want it anymore. |

I've got five. Currently are Dictonary, APOD, 123macmini.com, Gmail, and Apple weather. I have more but only bring them up when I need them.

Like get it off the screen or delete it off your hard drive?
To store it, click the + at the bottom of the screen, and click the x by the widget you want gone. I am assuming you know this already, though, so how to put it in the trash is:
1. Go to Your UserName
2. Go to Library
3. Go to Widgets
4. Go to... Oh wait, there they are Just drag and forget _________________ The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations.

Almost none. I rarely ever launch Dashboard.
When I do, it's iStat Pro, Imageshack, and Speed Stat 2. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

If you look up "bloat" on Wikipedia, you'll see a screeny of widgets.
I only have four, and they would be Digg, iStat nano, RadioTuner, and weather. |

None, when I hit F12 on my computer it brings up the restart/sleep/shut down prompt.
Though the widgets active in Dashboard are: Unit converter, Weather, iStat Pro, Dictionary, TUAW, 123MacMini, iTunes, Calendar, Twemco, RadarInMotion and Delivery Status.
Dashboard is used once every two months on my machine
So it's usually disabled by Onyx. _________________

I don't use it that much either. I usually only use it if I need to look up a word using dictionary for school. I always forget about dashboard...it seems so hidden. |

I hope Apple fixes that in Leopard with a sidebar type thingy. Until then, you can use Amnesty or dev mode (Open the Terminal and type "defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES" and press Return.) to keep them on your desktop. |

Oh thanks for that, I may have to see how that works. If I don't like it, how do I remove them from my desktop? |
