Fujitsu Intros Happy Hacking Lite 2 Keyboard for Mac

Fujitsu has introduced the Happy Hacking Lite 2 for Mac, the latest version of its popular compact keyboard. The new keyboard is only half the size of normal keyboards, but still includes the essential Command and Option keys specific to the Mac. It also features a set of arrow keys and a built-in two-port USB 1.1 hub for attaching a mouse or other peripherals. According to Fujitsu, the diminutive stature of the Happy Hacking Lite 2 for Mac makes it an ideal fit for a Mac mini. The keyboard is only available in Japan at this time, but Fujitsu said a North American launch is certain given the popularity of Happy Hacking keyboards with Western buyers. We can't wait!

| It would be cool to have a BT version of one of these with a built-in trackpad for when I move my Mac mini to the den. I don't think I could give up my Matias USB 2.0 keyboard for everyday usage. It's one the best feeling keyboards I have ever owned and the thing only cost me $25 bucks. |

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm currently happy with my Belkin MediaPilot, which is a wireless keyboard with a mouse and media keys. But I would love if they made a Bluetooth version. The base on this keyboard is rather big. I'd prefer to use standard rechargeable batteries and free up my USB port. But I would love it in black instead... personally.

| I have always wanted to try out a Happy Hacking board to see what the keys feel like in person. That being said, I don't think I could use one everyday and be comfortable. I have pretty big hands and fingers. |

I think the keys and the layout are the same. They've just eliminated some keys. You and your sausage fingers should be fine 
I believe the keys use a mechanical switch like the Matias Tactile Pro. Clackity clack. |

Even with a 50% smaller keyboard, the Mac mini seems small in comparison. I guess we keep forgetting how tiny it is.
When's the Core 2 Duo update, so I can put my Mac mini G4 on DVD Jukebox duty? |

| Our desks are so small here at school, so I wouldn't mind having a smaller keyboard. The thing is, I could never live without a dedicated numpad for working with numbers. I would still like to give one a try though. |

| That Sony keyboard is oh so very sweet! It looks like it has a built in mouse too. That's an added bonus for some. |

I wish Apple sold one just like that! It's really nice looking. I did a little Googling and it looks like Sony is including it with their new Vaio VGX-TP1 media center PC. So I don't know if you'll be able to buy one separately. I'm also thinking that it uses RF not BT. That said, I bet someone still tries to get it working with OS X. |

It's quite expensive if you ask me. I haven't seen the specs, but I'm betting that the next version of the Mac mini + some external PVR hardware + AppleTV would still cost a lot less than that Vaio. |

It seems some Vaio products are way too overpriced for what you get out of them. This is a good example...
Of course it is nice looking, I do indeed like the rounded shape. Out of all the mini computers, and computers in general, I think the Mac mini is one of the nicest machines out there. |
