The main thing stopping me getting an iPod is that standard earbuds (like the ones on the normal iPod) don't fit in my ears (because they're weird ).
Luckily my current MP3 player comes with clip-on headphone type things with little hooks that go around the ears.
I was wondering if there any Apple-style clip-ons available...

Why not just use the ones that your current MP3 player came with that you like? _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

A pair of $20 headphones is stopping you from getting a $250 iPod? |

i've got the same problem
my left side inner ear is larger than my right side, so i end up having to constantly re-insert the left side earbud |

The problem is that they just won't fit in my ears... so I don't really want to walk around holding them in. My friend, intrigued at this dilemna compared my ear to a normal ear that earbuds fit in, and came to the conclusion that there was a small piece of cartilige missing in my ears for some reason. My father and sister have the same problem, so I assume it's something genetic.
My current MP3 player's headphones are on their last legs and use a weird sort of socket (looks kinda like the ones for mobile phones); so I couldn't use them on an iPod if I got one.
The main point is that I can't find any of these headphones that would work in an iPod... _________________ Visit www.TheBigApples.net for Apple news and podcasts. |

Any headphones that use a standard 1/8th inch miniplug will work just fine on the iPod. You don't need any special "iPod headphones" or anything. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I know, but the only headphones that I've seen like that are the ones with the weird socket-type _________________ Visit www.TheBigApples.net for Apple news and podcasts. |

I'm surprised to hear that, because almost the entire headphone market is dominated by the 1/8th inch miniplug. Sure, there is some audiophile grade stuff with 1/4th inch, plus a few oddballs, like cell phone earphones that use something else, but I'd venture a guess and say that 95% of all headphones in stores are going to be the standard 1/8th inch (3.5mm), with only a few clear exceptions. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

It's one of those weird ones like you get on mobile "cell" phones. _________________ Visit www.TheBigApples.net for Apple news and podcasts. |

I think that the best earbuds out there are the Sony MDR-EX51LP, I bought these because my iPod earbuds died after one year of use.... anyways i love these earbuds because they are kind of sound isolating because when I have them on i hear the music and not the exterior noise... so... 100% recommended;) _________________ -MacBook 2.16 ghz C2D, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM coming soon...
