I answered yes because if Apple doesn't release a new series of Apple Cinema Displays, I will have some extra money laying around and the iPhone is pretty nice..... And I'll have money to spare!

| I take my last statement back, I really want an iPhone for my birthday! By the way, what are they going to call the iPhone now that they got sued? The Apple Phone? |

I am thinking it will still be the iPhone because Cisco has some shifty legalities they are trying to avoid that are being exposed.
Steve wouldn't have called it the iPhone on the 9th unless he was damn well sure it would stay that way.

| It would be a little embarrassing for Apple to lose the name now, but it's no biggy if they have to change it. The product isn't even on the market yet. They announced iTV and changed it to Apple TV. To be honest, they should be moving away from the "i" thing anyways. With the exception of the iPod, it's so played out. |

Even if they do lose the name, whatever name they come up with, that name will be defined by the device. Even if they keep iPhone, that name will be synonymous with Apple's product. F*#% Cisco. _________________

I always thought John Chambers, the CEO of Cisco, seemed like a nice guy. As a matter of fact, I held Cisco stock for a few years. I don't think Apple will fight this one long, Cicso is the big guy here. It's not like going up against Creative. I really think they will lose the name. |

| Seems like almost 50% of us here are going to buy an iPhone. Apple was right, it probably will be a big hit. |

When iPhone or Apple Phone (depending on the outcome of law suits, of course) and by the time it is released in Australia it should be version 1.1 so hopefully I will be able to replace my Ipod with Click Wheel & Motorola L6. _________________ Mac Mini (Intel) 1.83Ghz
