Good news
Intel just came out with the 2.4GHz Core 2 Quad.
Bad news
It costs over $800.
I hope the 2.16Ghz and 2.33Ghz Core 2 Duos start falling in price now. If they do, I might forget about getting a new Mac mini and pick up a used or refurbished Core solo model. |

hi guys, first post.
i take it from this post it means that apple are not going to update the macmini anytime soon?
i was holding off buying one until after macworld 2007 and maybe the leopard release (march?) as i thought they might upgrade these babies.
but alas unless i have missed the news bigstyle there were no macmini upgrade announcments.
thanks for any help you can give.
thanks

I'm waiting for the Core2Duo Macmini's and since I already promised to sell my current G4 MacMini, I'm glad I bought a pristine Powerbook G4 of 2 years old. Little slower, little less memory, smaller drive, but still I can connect it to all of my periferals including my widescreen HP W 19. As soon as de Core2Duo's hit the Apple shop, hopefully with Leopard, I'm in line to buy one! Strange idea to be MacMiniless in a short period from now... Thank you Your Steveness.....NOT! _________________ ___________________Jim©
