Okay, that's a tad out of my price range... Evil or Very Mad I was all excited for these drives too. Thanks for the links, though.

If it's just speed you are after, you can always get an external, or the smaller 7k60 drive. However, if you want an internal 100GB drive that is faster, consider the 5400-RPM drives from Seagate or Hitachi.

I used to have a 7k60 drive in my Sony VAIO and it died. Hitachi said they would replace it, but it would take about 3 weeks. That time frame was unacceptable. So, I picked up a 100GB Seagate Momentus 5400.2 drive to use instead. (The replacement from Hitachi eventually made its way into my Mini.)

The truth is that the 5400 Seagate drive is still nearly 50% faster than the stock 4200 drive. To be honest, I could not tell that much of a difference in my laptop between the 7200 and the 5400. Yes, the 7200 was a tad faster. You might want to consider this drive as a more affordable and still attractive upgrade.

I guess I could go with the 7K60 considering that is within my price range. It's not like I'd use all of the 100 gigs; I try to store non-music media on my externals.
