When it does, hopefully it is when my tax return arrives. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

| I'm not really that interested in buying another cell phone. It would have to be more like a PDA and iPod for me to dump my Motorola. |

I would so buy one, but I'm still skeptical that one will come out. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I would get one. But I wouldn't want it to be a huge device.
My perfect device would be small and sleek (not wide like a RAZR). A decent screen, where you could hold it sideways and watch iTunes TV shows or movies. It would have a decent 1.3MP cam with PhotoBooth mobile. Instead of a hard drive, flash memory would be better. After all it is a cell phone. People tend to be more abusive to their phones over regular iPods.
I wonder what carriers would take up the phone. I use T-Mobile, so as long as they provide an unlocked GSM version, I'm set to go. _________________

I don't think that will be the case the way Kevin Rose was talking. He said the phone is really small (and sexy) with a flip out keyboard.
To be honest, I'm more interested in the 6G iPod. These iPhone rumors just keep going and going and going and going and going and going and going. Just release thing already!

As long as it is more of a PDA and less of a typical cell phone, I would get one. I don't think Apple would make "just" a phone, so I am pretty hopeful for it. _________________ PPC Mac Mini User

So would it be similar to the flip phones that run CE? I think it would be good if it had 4GB in it for iTunes at least. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

All I gotta say is this... it better damn well be made out of aluminum. I don't think I would buy one if it was the plastic material as the regular iPod. My phone just wouldn't survive the depths of my pocket. Sure there would be a protective case, but I'd rather keep it slim. I could just simply use a screen film for the screen. But I wouldn't want it completely across the front of the unit. _________________

i second that...thenew nanos are aluminum right? so they should make it aluminum i would think. i dunno it seems theres a lot of opinions flying arouna about it right now if its gonna be a flip phone a slider touchescreen etc. i say leave it like the ipod is now with the wheel. just a candy bar version nothing fancy.
simple is best in my opinion, long as its still got that 3.0 mp camera.
i also saw somehwere that a company released another 100gb 1.8 in hdd, compatible with ipod...sounds like we have another ipod generation comin up. |

Yeah the new nanos are aluminum. I think the design is a leap over the plastic nano. Mainly because the old nano scratches as easily as the regular iPod. With aluminum it takes more to scratch up and is less noticeable. Only the screen is what really needs protection. Just less of a headache to me. _________________
