|
|
Hi Guys,
well I've waited and waited for a decent mac mini true dual display solution (digital) or 3rd party usb gizmo and am giving up. I was thinking about getting an imac instead and hooking my 20inch cinema display to that, then using the imac as a second display. So... does it matter what size imac i get? for example can i get a 17inch imac and hook my cinema display to it? Will resolution be all screwed up on one of the displays? Do I have to 'match' the display sizes or is this a non issue? I really need hmm..
thanks! |

Should work fine, the iMac can support independent display resolutions. _________________ | Mac mini 2011 | Apple Thunderbolt Display | Apple keyboard and Magic TrackPad | 2Tb Time Capsule | Apple TV (3) | iPhone 4s |
I have no idea where I'm going, but I'm making great time... |

As long as your second display is at or below the maximum resolution supported by the DVI port, you'll be okay. You don't have to match sizes, resolutions, colors, or any other factor
External displays on the iMac can be 1920x1200 for digital displays (DVI), and 2048x1536 for analog displays (VGA). _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external
