Cinnamon Peripherals announces CinnaMount mini
Friday, October 27, 2006 - 12:10 PM EST
Cinnamon Peripherals today announced the availability of the CinnaMount mini, an anodized aluminum mount for the Mac mini. According to the company, "The new mount, an updated version of the previous model, allows Mac mini owners to also stack their external Mac mini-sized external hard drives along with their Mac mini by using two or more mounts. Made of anodized aluminum, like the Mac mini, the new model also sports a more open design which will not block side ports or side air vents on peripherals such as NewerTech's miniStack V2 or WiebeTech's Maxelerate, as well as the ability to mount a Mac mini on a wall."
The CinnaMount mini is available in silver (clear anodized) and black (black anodized), and priced at $31 (35$CAD). The company also offers a bundle kit, which includes a small mount for the Mac mini's power supply for $36 (40$CAD).

Again, I want to apologize for the delay!
The store should be online later today, still working on it. |

And I got two CinnaMount mini Black Edition ready!
I just have to fill that huge order that came from a big customer... The online store should be up and running tonight, in a few hours.
Thanks,

The problem with the CinnaMount mini Black Edition is that it's so dark, either my camera won't take a good picture of it (see picture on the front page) or all light reflects on it like a mirror (from the camera's point of view, anyway).
I'll try to post a "two stacked black mounts" picture tomorrow if I have any spare time, which is doubtful with all the work I stilll have to do on the online store section of the website. |

Thanks! I might be in the market for two black ones. I assume they just connect with bolts or screws. I just bought a 50" Sony SXRD and Tech Craft TV stand at Circuit City this week. I'm putting it together over the weekend. The problem is, I don't think I will be able to see my Mac mini and LaCie mini through the glass doors without placing them on top of two fairly hot receivers. I was thinking about hanging them on the bottom of the inside shelf. I could either stack them or put one on each side. It really depends on how low they would hang. I'll have a better idea once it's put together. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

"The Mac mini is one of the smallest computer desktop ever made…"
Correct English would be 'The Mac mini is one of the smallest desktop computers ever made…'
My French sucks by the way, it's never easy with a second language. |

You should keep any heavy stereo or A/V receiver on the bottom, since they are usually the heaviest.
Also depending on if you are connected wirelessly, you can put the LaCie on the top CinnaMount and the Mini on the bottom one. Then the Mini can be seen thru glass higher up. This will also keep it farther away from the hot receivers. And you will have access to the IR sensor. _________________

| Man I wanted to get two. But I had to order one for now, that is all the $$ I have for now. I'll have to wait until the week after next (hoping there will still be some in stock), when I'll probably be getting a silver one for my aunt and maybe another black one for me.
Look out for an order to Minneapolis... THAT IS ME! _________________

I thought about doing that. The shelves are adjustable, so they can be moved down some. I really just want everything visible through the glass. I already have a clear plastic mount from OWC that I might be able to use, but it doesn't look that great. I think the black anodized aluminum would look classier. I also bought a Sony DVD Dream System and the top of the DVD player has a black anodized finish. I'll take a picture once everything is put together. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini
