|
|
HI, am looking to buy a 19" TFT monitor. However, I am unsure of some of the terminology can someone help me with the following questions....
Resolution: I seem to be seeing a lot with 1280 x 1024. Is that good?
Contrast Ratio: What does this figure mean.. what good and bad??
Response Time: seems to be measured in ms??? WHat good and bad?
Whats Pixel pitch and what good and bad?
Does DVI make a difference?? Worth the extra price? Use mine mainly for Itunes/websurfing/tv?
Sorry for asking so much but any help much appreciated! |

That's the minimum I would want. Most 17" and 19" displays have a 1280 x 1024 native resolution.

The higher better. 500:1 and higher would be fine.

The lower the better. Try to find something 16ms or less. The lower this numbers is the less chance you have for ghosting.

DVI is sharper than VGA. Things will pop off the screen. Icons and text wil look much sharper.
The display's viewing angles are important to look at. |
