Mac Mini Bracket
Tuesday June 21, 2005

Power Support Japan has recently introduced the Mac mini bracket. The Mac mini bracket is designed for mounting the Mac mini under a desk or shelf. The bracket is secured to the bottom of the desk with four screws that are countersunk into the surface. There are 8 adhesive backed pads included in the kit to protect the Mac miniís finish. The bracket is painted silver with its front corners rounded off to match the Mac mini's shape. The Mac mini bracket has a suggested retail price of 4,410 Yen [US$38]. At this time, there is no information on whether or not the Mac mini bracket will be offered from Power Support USA.

I think these would sell well in the US with schools and libraries even though the mini's footprint is small. To tell you the truth I wouldn't mind having one of these because my desk is such a mess. Sometimes my mini gets lost in the clutter! Very Happy

It had better sell for a lot cheaper than $38. It is just stamped steel. I went to that site and they have a nice little air filter for the bottom of the mini.

$38??? I was thinking maybe $20. I'll have to scope it out after I get my new desk...

The $30-$40 range seems a little steep! This other mount is still over $30, but looks a little better.

Hey...at least they're being creative over in Japan with Mac mini accessories. All we have over here is hubs. Sad

I'm wondering why the front of the bottom is cut out. Does it serve any purpose other than saving them some metal? The only thing I can think of is that it might give you a better grip to slide it out.

I would think it is for gripping.
