Ok well I was doing my daily NewEgg look around and found this:

now I wonder where they got their idea for the case design?
Anyway it's looks really nice, and it can do MS Duo, mini SD, and RS-MMC without an adapter!

It is pretty bulky for a memory card reader, unfortunately, but it looks pretty cool, and would look nice perched up on top of your PowerMac or Mac Pro.

i think it's ugly, and gigantic
little too industrial looking, with screws in plain site, and open ended corners and stuff
looks like a ballast or something |

There are many, many products that share that design. Pick up a Mac magazine some day, you'll see.
That this is overly large for a memory card reader.
Just about every company is making something "Mac like" nowadays. |

Even Microsoft makes products Mac like (Vista, keyboards, mice, etc.).

The official line from Jobs was "Redmond, start your photocopiers" was it not?  MS hasn't had an original idea in years. Look at the Zune. iPod + WiFi. And it's fugly.
MS-DOS was bought off some guy back in the early early 80s, tinkered with, and turned into what it became. MS didn't write the original code for it. And that's been the basis of MS software for 20 years.

I've heard about the MS-DOS story, but it wasn't successful until IBM decided to pick it up as their OS of choice then is became a almost 50/50 split market, until the age of low quality immitations and stupidity, hence why I am a PC person.

I dislike Windows as much as the next guy, but you're simply wrong here. Microsoft has phased out all original DOS architecture from their operating system offerings. This is one of the major allures to their much more elegant NT architecture. I you're gonna hate, at least get your facts straight!  |

It's a matter of relativity.
Not elegant: 32 bit Windows layered on 16 bit Windows layered on 8 bit DOS
More elegant: NT
That's not saying much though! |

Vista will finally put an end to the vestigial tail of DOS, but there is still a little stub peeking out in XP even, although they did a great job of burying it for the most part. But there is little elegant about what Windows has turned in to, or what it is about to become.
