Smart Fortwo with a Mac mini
Thursday, September 28, 2006
It has been a while since we've seen an interesting Mac mini car install. That was until Bahaeddin wrote in to tell us about his "Mac in Smart" carputer project. His setup includes a Mac mini, 10.2" Xenarc LCD touchscreen monitor, Rockford Fosgate amplifiers, Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, Rockford Fosgate signal processor and MB Quart speakers all installed into a Smart Fortwo. And if that wasn't cool enough, the exterior of the car is covered with Apple inspired graphics. We especially like the Dock graphic on the back window. Bahaeddin also told us he uses a Miglia TVMicro with remote for viewing TV on the go.
If you want to see a Mac mini neatly installed into a center console and one sweet looking little ride, head on over to Bahaeddin's website and check out the rest of his pictures.

I wouldn't mind having one of those for the back of my truck. I smell a business opportunity. |

I put one of the Apple stickers that came with the Mac mini on my bumper.
I've never seen one of these Smart cars on the street before. That convertible roadster looks really cool! |

A Mac Pro would probably make it lean.
I still think they look really cool, but I'm not sure if I would fit it one. |

I am the owner of this MACinSmart. I am not doing any business with Apple. I am just MAHOLICS (like ALKOLICS ) of Apple Product.
Inside of Smart is not small . I am little bit fat and tallest people in my family. But i am fitting well done.
My second car is Mercedes 2007 S 350. Both side of seat in Smart is bigger than Mercedes. This is true. If you want to be sure, check smart web site.
Thats all:) |

I tend to think of them as upright coffins, but that's a little unkind I guess.
Seriously though they don't seem to enjoy any advantage over ordinary cars here in the UK - I think in parts of Europe they have tax concessions etc - but they aren't even cheap!

I once borrowed such a "car" when my Honda was in the shop for a broken windshield and I must say these things drive terribly, feels like a kart or a 4 wheel motorcycle without suspension. Neat job anyway. I have one of the white Apple stickers on my rear windshield too and every now and then I see someone who did the same! _________________ ___________________Jim©
