Mac mini "kitchenMac" Project
Thursday, September 28, 2006

Vincenzo has sent in some pictures of his Mac mini "KitchenMac" project. His setup includes a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo Mac mini with 2GB of RAM, 26" Sony XBR LCD TV, Sanus full-motion wall mount, Apple wireless keyboard and wireless Mighty Mouse. Vincenzo told us he uses the Mac mini to blast iTunes in the living room. When he's done jamming out, he swings the TV into the kitchen to browse the web for cooking recipes. We get a lot of pictures sent in for the Photo Gallery, but this was one of the more interesting submissions because it shows the project from the ground up. We'd like to congratulate Vincenzo on a job well done and thank him for sharing his project.

That is pretty nice. Eating a bowl of cereal... and instead of reading the paper, checking the news online. That is nice it can swivel... just one minor thing... get some separate speakers!
Still looks great though.

I would go with some ceiling speakers to keep things looking clean. My friend has some Yamaha ones that sound excellent.

You could even put an in-wall subwoofer. Since its frequency is low, you can put anywhere near. Just enough oomph for better dynamics in some music.
