insert CD
wait for iTunes to recognize it
find the import button and click
it will import in default 128kbs AAC format
check library
have a iPod playlist or playlist for album and then transfer to iPod _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

If you're doing a lot of ripping, go to iTunes Prefs and set it to rip then eject automatically it speeds up multiple rips. _________________ iMac intel CoreDuo 17" 1Gb

Yeah make sure you do that and have CD's set up in a stack and ready to just go in and out then switch I ripped 16 CD's when I first got an iPod. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

I don't listen to music so I'm ripping audiobooks and they're all a MINIMUM of 12 CD's each and often up to 16! Worst of all I have to fill in the details manually as they're never in any online database..... _________________ iMac intel CoreDuo 17" 1Gb

ok... yesterday i copied 39 albums onto the ipod . using the "IMPORT" logo in th etop right hand corner. Today. Itunes has updated and this logo isnt there any more. its been replaced by a "Import" logo (Different design.same as "Eject" ) bottom right next to eject.
is this all as it should be?
cheers
