insert CD
wait for iTunes to recognize it
find the import button and click
it will import in default 128kbs AAC format
check library
have a iPod playlist or playlist for album and then transfer to iPod

If you're doing a lot of ripping, go to iTunes Prefs and set it to rip then eject automatically it speeds up multiple rips.

Yeah make sure you do that and have CD's set up in a stack and ready to just go in and out then switch I ripped 16 CD's when I first got an iPod.

I don't listen to music so I'm ripping audiobooks and they're all a MINIMUM of 12 CD's each and often up to 16! Worst of all I have to fill in the details manually as they're never in any online database.....
