Apple Unveils New iPod nano
Tuesday, September 12, 2006 - 1:18 PM EST
Apple today introduced the all-new iPod nano with a new aluminum body, 24 hours of battery life and more than twice the music capacity for the same price as the previous generation. The new iPod nano features Apple's Click Wheel and an even smaller, thinner and lighter design available in silver, pink, green, blue and black.
"iPod nano is the world's most popular digital music player, and we've completely redesigned it to make it even better," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "The all-new iPod nano gives music fans more of what they love in their iPods?twice the storage capacity at the same price, an incredible 24 hour battery life and a gorgeous aluminum design in five brilliant colors."
The new 2GB iPod nano model in silver is available for $149, the new 4GB models in silver, pink, green and blue are available for $199, and the new 8GB model in black is available for $249. All iPod nano models include redesigned earbud headphones providing superior comfort, fit and sound quality, and a USB 2.0 cable.

I agree Socomraider, aluminum is definitly the way to go, I just wish that all colors were available in the 8GB version. I personally prefer the silver over the black myself. _________________ http://www.dtdesigns.etsy.com/

I'm not going to buy one, but they look great! I bet there are a lot of college students that wish these would have come out a few weeks ago. |

I'm not big on watching video on the iPod's...so I think the nano would be a good iPod for me. Not sure if I'm ready to buy yet or not...(so many toys, so little money)
Definitely getting the two older kids each a shuffle though. Those new shuffles are SLICK! _________________ -=iMav=-

There is a little part of me that really wants a Pro, I thought that might be a great way to catch a nice discount. But I probably have to start putting gel in my hair and liking techno... _________________ | Mac mini 2011 | Apple Thunderbolt Display | Apple keyboard and Magic TrackPad | 2Tb Time Capsule | Apple TV (3) | iPhone 4s |

I wouldn't even be able to post on this site. If you do post, if somehow they found out... you are instantly fired (at locations that allow it...Cali would be a 2-week notice)... _________________

I've heard that as well, they are pretty serious about protecting company secrets and enforce on every employee at every level. _________________ | Mac mini 2011 | Apple Thunderbolt Display | Apple keyboard and Magic TrackPad | 2Tb Time Capsule | Apple TV (3) | iPhone 4s |

A distinction should be made between revealing company secrets and participating in discussions about currently available products.
