|I have a 400 mhz Powerbook G3 (aka Pismo) and I was thinking about some upgrades to this machine or buying a Mac Mini, then suddenly thought if its possible to replace all the Powerbook internal hardware with the Miniīs
Maybe what I am thinking is really silly, but I want opinions if it is possible, very difficult/risky or not possible at all.
The dimensions of both machines are similar, the hard disk, cd writer, memory, almost everything in the Mini is made for portable computers, so I guess that the most difficult part can be to connect the Mini with the internal Display, keyboard and trackpad.
Besides that I suppose that the thermal issues can be really important so any help in this area will be really appreciated.
I know, I am talking about a 4+ years old model to be mixed with a Mini, but think the potencial of this:
- The Pismo G3 is a Wonderful machine (IMO nicer than a PB G4)
- Transforming it in a 1,2 or 1,4 Ghz G4 mutant for $499 will be really awesome (a 550 mhz. G4 processor only upgrade for the Pismo is about $350) Not to mention that will put all Tibooks and almost any Albook in shame.
Ok thatīs the idea and thanks for your interest and comments

Think different (even with Intel procesors:)
